Munduk, Indonesia
Dsy 1 - This is your big waterfall day. SEKUMPUL !
I’d leave around 7:00–7:30am from Padiuma.
* Drive to Sekumpul
* Do the waterfall trek
* Take your time at the viewpoints
* Continue down to the falls if you’re feeling energetic
* Allow 3–4 hours for the whole experience
* Fiji waterfall on the extended hike ?
* hanging restaurant & bar for Lunch / drink after - beautiful viewpoint of waterfall
* Return to Padiuma mid/late afternoon
* Pool + sunset 🌅
Sekumpul is the one I’d definitely not miss. It’s a dramatic pair/group of huge falls surrounded by jungle, and it’s roughly 45 minutes east of Munduk according to local guides.
Important: I’d book a local guide through Padiuma rather than just turning up and accepting whichever route you’re offered. There are different trekking options and some are considerably more strenuous.
DAY 2- This is a much more relaxed waterfall day.
8:00am
* Leave Padiuma
* Drive to Banyumala Twin Waterfall
* Walk down to the falls
* Swim if you fancy it 🏊♀️
* Take your time — it’s a beautiful, lush setting
Then I’d combine it with:
Lake Buyan / Lake Tamblingan
* Scenic mountain drive
* Wanagiri viewpoint if you want photos
* Lunch with a view
Then back to Padiuma around mid-afternoon.
Evening: Massage or simply sit on your balcony with a drink. You’ve earned it! 😂
Day 3 - Golden valley waterfall
This one is perfect because Golden Valley is right in the Munduk area rather than requiring another big drive.
I’d go early morning, around 8am.
* Golden Valley Waterfall
* Jungle/plantation walk
* Take your time rather than rushing
* Coffee plantation stop
* Lunch in Munduk
Golden Valley is known for being quieter and involves a roughly 30–40 minute jungle trek, with uneven ground, so good footwear is important.
🌾 Afternoon — your slow Bali afternoon
This is where I’d not add another big attraction.
Go back to Padiuma.
* Pool
* Massage
* Read on your balcony
* Walk the rice fields
* Sunset
* Lovely final dinner
Padiuma itself offers rice-field trekking, so you can even do a little wander straight from the property.
⭐ My order of priority for you
1. Sekumpul — don’t miss
2. Banyumala — beautiful and great for a swim
3. Golden Valley — quieter, atmospheric and very Munduk
4. Rice-field/coffee walk — lovely slow experience
5. Ulun Danu Beratan — add on departure day
